EVENT UPDATE:  Launch of pico-balloon id: N4TVV-1 was a success!!

We are having a SUPER time at Andrew Jackson State Park for Field Day!  

Today we launched pico-balloon N4TVV-1 at Van Wyck Elementary School at approximately 2pm.  The  weather cooperated with winds under 5 to 10 knots, and less than 50% overcast skies.

APRS.fi   aprs.fi – live APRS map  is a free tracking application. You don’t need a log in.  In the top right corner, enter the call sign of N4TVV-12 and follow the pico-balloon.

Another free tracking site is  https://amateur.sondehub.org/  

Here you’ll scroll down the left-hand column and select the call sign of the balloon you’re interested in. Click on the balloon for current status.  If you see the word “Float”, click on it and you’ll see an approximate forecast of its float pattern.
